Relative Memory Portals
A letter from V. July 2002
Choromatsu,
I almost didn’t ever hear this. I never check my Updates tab. The story I see is two peoples conflicting thoughts of each other. Their minds voices overlapping and it’s hard to distinguish what either of them are saying. But one can’t remember the other and the other feels completely alone in the others presence. They hear this tune and hum along with different melodies, they both remember the music, but it means something different to both of them. To one it’s a somber reflection of what was, to the other it’s the hopefulness of childish innocence. That’s what I see anyway. It’s the natural aging of memory. It’s the same person connected though a portal in time. It’s really beautiful.
