These things keep coming to mind when I think about hierarchical procedures and taxonomies. Scale can visualize additional information, such as priority or quantity. But my good friend Biff has been casting his eye upon my visual mutterings and staring at them for some time. The ones he’s been staring at are equilateral, which I would consider more of the sacred kind, but these right angled beauties lend themselves to standard text systems. Having said that, I’m not aware of any text systems that aren’t based on horizontal or vertical flows. That would be an interesting thing to explore.
