Wall
0Been out and about with the FujiFilm W1 getting some stereoscopic snaps and exploring some 3d ideas. Due to primarily using a virtual camera rig for stereoscopic work I feel crippled with a static interaxial distance. I found myself wanting to go hyper-stereo for big landscape shots and hypo-stereo to capture a ladybird. It’s hard to find a good stereo composition as well as achieve a good balance within the frame. Nevertheless it’s a good challenge and having the 6.5cm IPD gives you a good creative boundary to work within and focus on.
You can see a small selection of the more interesting images over on 3DVisionLive.
Probably the most successful shot I captured was was of a wall. With no elements at varying depths allowed me to get close to the wall and achieve a huge amount of depth within a very short distance. This gives a perceivable distance between the faces of the stones and the deep crevices between them.
